January and February Training and planning.

This is how I Zwift

This year has been a bit different and yet somewhat the same. We started this year’s indoor training on our smart-trainers, using Zwift to do custom workouts from TrainingPeaks. This is pretty normal for us in the middle of winter, with the short days and inclement weather. Usually, we spend our weekends outside when the weather cooperates.

Lindsay’s Arm

The main difference this year is that Lindsay broke her arm in Mid January. Therefore, all our rides have been indoors. Even the 4-hour weekend endurance rides. It has been a bit hard but we are getting through.

The first event for me will be on March 13th. The BC Randonneurs VI Early Bird 200. In 2020 I did this event and only two riders started and finished. The weather was awful with a wind storm being the most notable. I am hoping for better weather this year as I hope to go sub-8hrs to start the year off strong. I also look forward to posting a full report.

Windy 200

Until then I’m going to just keep pedalling!
